The Capability Study for the Life and Health Technologies Sector in Northern Ireland, commissioned by BioBusinessNI and Invest NI, with our consultants PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, has been the most inclusive, comprehensive study undertaken by the sector in Northern Ireland in the last 30 years.

With over 80% response from businesses and 100% support from all key academic, government and clinical personnel, it demonstrates that this study really does provide the fundamental information for informing, developing and promoting the sector.  The contribution from the well attended workshops and survey have consolidated and focused the sector to address a number of key issues including, Business Support and Skills Provision.

BioBusinessNI represents 76% of the Sector with 4,000 employees, contributing nearly £400 Million in turnover and will take up this challenge to support the sector through its advocacy and facilitation roles. In addition BioBusinessNI will pursue its Innovation strategy to utilise its regional, national and international links to facilitate and broker academic, business and clinical collaboration for the advancement and competitiveness of Northern Ireland organisations.
