ECH Campus

ECH Campus

The European Connected Health Campus (ECHCampus) is a 'not-for-profit' organisation registered in Northern Ireland as a Community Interest Company and supervised by the UK CIC Regulator.

The ECHCampus is timely response to both societal and economic needs:

The need to transform Healthcare Delivery: enhancing the quality and effectiveness of care.   The drivers include demographics, changing clinical priorities and the pressures of ever-increasing citizen expectations.

The need to develop the ‘Connected Health Economy’: enabling innovation and sustainable investment in the expansion of healthcare.   The drivers include public sector budgetary constraints, fragmented markets, ‘time-to-market’ process bottlenecks and an urgent need for more-effective knowledge transfer.

The organisation includes:

ECHCampus Alliance Programme - providing links with in-country healthcare-innovation networks across the whole of Europe and globally.
ECHCampus International Advisory Panel -  bringing together global leaders in Connected Health.

The main aims of ECHCampus are expressed in 'A Manifesto For Connected Health' - the results of the first major event, the Connected Health Leadership Summit, held in Belfast on May 6th and 7th. 2009.
